The story of our villa
The villas of Count Oliver Seldern were built in the year 1910. Already then, Trenčianske Teplice had been a favored spa town. The Venézia I, II, III complex of buildings was meant to serve as a summer retreat for the count's family and close friends. It didn't take long for the daily spa activities and the long summer night parties to become famous in the bourgeois society. Those who have not experienced it for at least one night do not know the scent of the era. That's what the legend of the Teplice affairs says.
As the times, regimes and owners changed, so changed the functions of the Seldners villas. In 2003 Slavomír Podmanický became the newest owner. He renovated the Venezia I and renamed it Penzión Baske inspired by the highest hill above the Teplička river valley. Penzión Baske won the Best pension in Slovakia title for 8 consecutive times. It also became a partner of the Art Film festival.
After many years, the legend of Trenčianske Teplice comes alive again.
Welcome to Baske Villa. The place that has an affair with life.
